Rules and Regulations for Screenplay Competition Entry
If a submission involves two or more writers as applicants, the award will be shared among them.
Awards are based on overall merits of the screenplays.
Entry fee is nonrefundable.
Entrants retain all rights to their screenplays.
Screenplays must be original work, however, adaptations are accepted.
More than one entry may be submitted. Each must be submitted separately via FilmFreeway.
Script materials will not be returned.
The selection committees' and juries' decisions are final.
Once the Official Jury has concluded the judging process, screenplay competition winners will be announced on this website and via Internet promotional channels. There will be no physical awards ceremony.
Mexico International Film Festival and Awards reserves the right to make any necessary changes in event scheduling.
Accepted screenplay formats are PDF, Word, Final Draft, Word, and Movie Magic.
